Stitch
FreeStitch is a new experiment from Google Labs, powered by Google’s Gemini 2.5 models, designed to bridge the gap between UI design and development. With Stitch you can: - Provide a plain-English prompt (e.g., “Design a minimalist mobile app dashboard in pastel colours for a meditation app”) and get a responsive UI design for mobile or web. - Upload a sketch, wireframe, screenshot, or other visual reference and have Stitch generate a UI based on that. - Choose from multiple design variants (different layouts/styles) and refine via conversational prompts (e.g., “make the font bolder”, “switch to dark theme”, “change nav placement”). - Export the generated UI design as front-end code (HTML/CSS) ready for development, or copy/paste into design tools like Figma for further refinement, including maintaining layers and auto-layout. Stitch supports rapid prototyping: you can go from idea → UI design → exportable code or design file in minutes, which helps product teams, designers and developers iterate fast. As of now, Stitch is available for free as part of Google Labs, but being experimental means features, quotas or pricing may change later.
